# Web3 quickstart

## Initialize Cifer and connect a wallet

## Select a secret

Create a secret with `keyManagement.buildCreateSecretTx()`, submit the returned transaction intent through your wallet, and extract its identifier from the confirmed receipt. A newly created secret remains in a syncing state while the enclave cluster prepares its keys.

Do not encrypt until the secret reports ready. Initial synchronization commonly takes around 30–60 seconds.

Only the owner or current delegate can decrypt. Any valid signer may encrypt for the secret.
