# Marketplace and economics

### Current Premium pricing

| Plan          | Price |
| ------------- | ----: |
| Monthly       | $4.99 |
| Yearly        |   $49 |
| Lifetime Pass |  $499 |

These prices define product-reference utility:

* Alpha or Omega → Lifetime Premium.
* Wisp → Monthly Premium.
* Fantom → Yearly Premium.

They do not guarantee a token sale price, resale floor, liquidity, buyback price, or cash redemption value.

### Two Ghost Egg routes

The campaign uses two separate, capped inventories:

| Route              |                  Requirement | Inventory           | $20,000 creator allocation | January creator buyback        |
| ------------------ | ---------------------------: | ------------------- | -------------------------- | ------------------------------ |
| Creator Reward Egg | 100 soulbound MARK | Creator Reward Pool | Included | Eligible under published terms |
| Direct Egg | 0.004 ETH on Robinhood Chain | Direct Mint Pool | Excluded | Not eligible |

A verified Swaymark account may use the Direct Egg mint route without first earning MARK or publishing a contribution. MARK is earned only through validated creator work.

Every successful Creator Egg redemption or Direct Egg mint produces one real sealed Ghost Egg NFT. Every Egg reveals an Alpha, Omega, Wisp, or Fantom; there are no empty Eggs. Character counts, stage odds, sealed commitments, and remaining inventory are disclosed separately for each pool.

The **$20,000 of product-reference utility** applies only to the Creator Reward Pool. Direct Egg sales are a separate paid allocation and cannot consume characters reserved to back issued MARK.

MARK cannot be transferred or sold. During this campaign it has one use only: redeeming a Creator Reward Egg. See MARK and Ghost Eggs.

{% hint style="info" %}
The Direct Egg price is fixed at **0.004 ETH**, not at a fixed USD amount. The interface displays Robinhood Chain, the mint amount, the estimated network fee, and the total wallet requirement before confirmation.
{% endhint %}

### Character discovery

Marketplace and collection views should support filtering and navigation by:

* Stage: Alpha, Omega, Wisp, or Fantom.
* Campaign and Egg origin.
* Anatomy trait and surface trait.
* Trait rarity and provisional overall rarity.
* Parent IDs for Wisps.
* Contributor family for Fantoms.
* Generation.
* Art revision and QA status.
* Consumed, locked, available, buyback-eligible, or converged state.

A character page should expose its verified genome hash, image hash, lineage, trait origins, campaign provenance, and links to available parents, siblings, children, or Fantom contributors.

{% hint style="info" %}
Rarity and lineage improve collectible discovery. They do not change Premium utility, MARK earning, reproduction speed, marketplace rights, buyback priority, or guaranteed value.
{% endhint %}

### Every eligible owner can list

Once the Cifer Marketplace is active, every owner of an eligible, unconsumed, unlocked character can create a sell offer, regardless of whether the character came from the Creator Reward Pool, Direct Mint Pool, founder distribution, The Attic, or convergence.

| Stage | General marketplace | Cifer Access Auction | January Creator Reward buyback |
| ------ | ---------------------- | ---------------------------------- | ------------------------------- |
| Alpha | Eligible when unlocked | Not included initially | Creator Reward Pool origin only |
| Omega | Eligible when unlocked | Not included initially | Creator Reward Pool origin only |
| Wisp | Eligible | Monthly and ten-Wisp yearly routes | Creator Reward Pool origin only |
| Fantom | Eligible | Yearly route | Creator Reward Pool origin only |

A listing is an opportunity to sell, not a guaranteed sale. A transaction completes only when a buyer accepts the offer or the listing wins an eligible Cifer Access Auction.

### Planned January Creator Reward buyback

Cifer plans to open a voluntary buyback process early enough for every accepted transaction involving an eligible **MARK-funded Creator Reward character** to complete no later than **31 January 2027**.

* It covers eligible Creator Reward Pool Alpha, Omega, Wisp, and Fantom characters.
* Direct Mint Pool characters are not eligible for the January Creator Reward buyback.
* Ordinary founder sales, Attic-created Wisps, converged Fantoms, and other non-Creator-Reward origins are also excluded unless separately announced.
* Participation is voluntary; holders may keep, use, or list their characters instead.
* A character must remain unconsumed, unburned, unlocked, traceable to the Creator Reward Pool, and otherwise eligible.
* Price or pricing formula, funding, settlement asset, opening and closing dates, submission deadlines, and acceptance rules will be published before activation.
* It is not a guaranteed market floor, investment return, or obligation to accept a holder-selected price.

### Cifer Access Auction

The proposed Access Auction turns Web2 subscription activity into **conditional** Wisp and Fantom market demand.

```mermaid
    A["Web2 customer buys Premium"] --> B["Premium activates"]
    B --> C{"Eligible route at or below Cifer's maximum bid?"}
    C -->|Yes| D["Buy cheapest eligible route"]
    D --> E["Pay seller and consume character"]
    C -->|No| F["No market purchase"]
    F --> G["Cifer retains subscription revenue"]
```

Monthly subscriptions may source one Wisp. Yearly subscriptions may compare one Fantom against the combined cost of ten eligible Wisps plus convergence and execution costs. Cifer selects the cheapest valid route only when it clears the configured procurement cap.

The customer never needs a wallet. The subscription purchase and NFT market purchase are separate transactions: Premium is delivered regardless of whether an auction purchase occurs.

The Access Auction is not the January Creator Reward buyback. The auction is ongoing and competitive; the buyback is a time-bound program limited to eligible MARK-funded Creator Reward characters under separately published terms.

See Cifer Access Auction for the complete mechanism.

### Paid resale

The native marketplace settles paid Ghost transactions in **ETH on Robinhood Chain**.

```mermaid
    B["Buyer pays displayed ETH price"] --> S["Atomic Robinhood Chain settlement"]
    S --> O["90% to seller"]
    S --> C["10% to Cifer"]
    S --> N["Character token to buyer"]
```

If any part fails, the transaction reverts. Locked, consumed, or burned assets cannot be listed, and an ownership change invalidates stale listings.

### Mandatory fee design

ERC-2981 communicates royalty information but does not force payment. To enforce the proposed 90/10 split, transfers at launch should be limited to approved contracts such as the Cifer Marketplace, The Attic, convergence and redemption controllers, distribution contracts, and audited recovery mechanisms.

This improves fee enforcement but reduces third-party composability. That tradeoff must be disclosed.

### Cifer revenue and distribution paths

* Direct Egg mints at 0.004 ETH on Robinhood Chain from the separately capped Direct Mint Pool.
* Primary releases from the founder reserve.
* Wisp creation fees.
* A Fantom convergence fee only if one is confirmed before launch.
* A future Fantom reproduction fee only if the mechanism is activated.
* Subscription revenue retained when no Access Auction offer clears Cifer's maximum bid.
* Ten percent of completed paid resales.
* Ordinary monthly, yearly, and Lifetime Pass sales.

The $4.99, $49, and $499 prices are product-reference values, not guaranteed primary or secondary token prices. Only the disclosed Creator Reward allocation counts toward the $20,000 campaign figure. Direct Eggs are paid redemptions from a separate allocation.

### User proceeds

An owner receives ETH from ordinary marketplace or Access Auction settlement on Robinhood Chain. The January buyback settlement asset will be published separately.

Seller proceeds in an ordinary paid marketplace transaction equal 90% of the sale price before gas, taxes, and other costs. Settlement for the January Creator Reward buyback will be published separately.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Do not market characters with guaranteed profit, automatic appreciation, passive income, APY, or a holder-selected guaranteed floor. Describe the January Creator Reward buyback only with its origin-based eligibility, completion deadline, funding, and pricing terms, and state clearly that Direct Eggs are excluded.
{% endhint %}

### Economic principle

Demand should come from character collectibility and the usefulness of Cifer Premium. MARK turns validated contribution into fully backed Creator Reward Egg capacity; 0.004 ETH on Robinhood Chain provides a separately capped Direct Egg mint route. Neither pool may borrow inventory from the other, and neither mechanism should create obligations beyond its disclosed supply.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://cifer.gitbook.io/cifer-docs/ghost-economy/marketplace-and-economics.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
